The Best Water Bottles On The Market - Klean Kanteen Water Bottles

Boomers into fitness know that it's very important to stay hydrated. Helps you stay alert and thinking clearly. Prevents nausea during a workout. And the older we get, the harder it is for your body to detect the need for hydration.

That being written, the search starts for the best way to hydrate.

Do you drink bottled water?
That's probably not a good option for a number of reasons:
  • The industry's not regulated so who knows what's in bottled water.

  • Plastic is an issue because it gives off chemicals as well as polluting our environment with vast amounts of discarded plastic.

  • They are not reusable.

  • How expensive is it to drink bottled water?
So if bottled water is not a healthy, cost effective or eco-conscious choice, what are the options to stay hydrated? After much research googling "best water bottles," the most logical option is NOT plastic reusable bottles, but stainless steel. Aluminum doesn't cut it - it unfavorably flavors water and I always associate the metal with the dreaded dementia Alzheimer's (however unscientific that may be).

The Best Water Bottles On The Market
Based on reviews from a variety of sources including Amazon, I ordered a Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Bottle with 3.0 Sport Cap (Brushed Stainless, 27-Ounce) and have been using it for a few months.

I carry it everywhere - to work, to the fitness center, and around the house.

So far so good. The only minor disadvantage I found - you hear a strange noise when you drink directly from the sports cap. It disturbs the work environment, so I remove the cap. No one cares in the fitness club.

Oh yeah - the most important thing - the water!
One could argue that the best water does not come from the tap, but from a filtered tap. You could probably use a Brita water bottle, but aren't they plastic?
