3 Random Thoughts About Healthy Diets

As I reviewed the most current weight loss information this week, I came across a state-of-the-art recommendation and two "what dieticians eat" posts.

What A Functional Doctor Recommends As A Diet

I have been reading The Disease Delusion by Dr.Jeffrey S. Bland, the father of functional medicine. It's a scientific look at chronic diseases (diabetes, obesity, heart disease, arthritis, cancer) and why modern medical science fails to address them.

Some of the book reviews have called it a text that should be used in medical school. So it's not for the casual reader.

But it does have several hopeful recommendations. Dr. Bland cites diet as a major factor to address chronic diseases and the Mediterranean diet is his eating plan of choice. Point Taken - low sugar, good carb, high fiber.

What Dieticians Eat

I've always wanted to be a dietician. Food is fascinating and healthy when it's prepared properly. You will drool over these two blog posts by dieticians:

Enjoy!
